Click here to download printer friendly version After a Concept debut at the 2004 Geneva Motorshow, the Citroen C4 WRC made its debut at the Paris show a few months later. It will serve as a replacement of the multiple Championship winning Xsara WRC, but the competition debut is not planned until the end of 2005. This extra time offers the designers to fully develop the new car and have it up to pace from the get go.

Technically the two cars are very similar, with the same XU7JP4 engine being used. Compared to the Xsara, the C4 WRC is a bit longer and wider, and it also has a longer wheelbase. Its debut is planned for the last rallies of the 2005 season and it is set to replace the Xsara completely at the start of the 2006 season.
